Vegetable seeds for our sustainable food future

For serious gardeners who want to assure the same varieties year after year, this heirloom section is vitally important.  Heirloom seeds are important for sustainable gardening throughout the world.

Open pollinated (OP) seeds are a genetically stable pure line which is suitable for seed saving.

Heirloom seeds are an OP line that is at least 50 years old.  Heirlooms are grown for their flavors, but are not as disease resistant as the hybrids.

Only OP and heirloom varieties are listed here.  Hybrids will be under general varieties.

Seed sources are coded by the first three letters of the company name and listed with each variety.  Seed source companies  can be found at the end of the directory on left side of each page.
