Florence:  OP 80 days.  15" tall.  Grown for bulb and feathery foliage.  BOU BURP

Perfection: 
OP 75-80 days.  Superior bulbing fennel.  Large. Bolt resistant.  NIC

GARLIC

Asian Tempest:  Korean Heirloom.  Asiatic type.  Large bulbs with 8-10 cloves.  Purple-striped skins, with brown and purple clove wrappers.  Fiery hot when eaten raw.  SOU

Blossom:  Chinese Heirloom.  Asiatic Turban type.  Large bulbs with dark stripes.  Smooth and mild when baked, hot when raw.  SOU

Brown Tempest (Allium Longicuspis):  OP.  Hardneck type. The cloves are brown with a rose blush tint.  6 cloves per bulb.  Excellent keeper. SOU

Chesnok Red:  OP.  From Republic of Georgia, near Shvelsi.  Cloves are elongate.  Hardneck type is best for baking garlic.  SOU

Elephant Garlic:  OP Large bulbs weigh up to 1/2 pound or more.  Mild and sweet.  ABU BURP GUR HEN SOU TOT VER

German Extra-Hardy: 
OP.  Very winter-hardy hardneck type.  Large cloves with a purplish blush.  6-8 clover per bulb.  Stores well.  SOU

German Porcelain (Northern White):  OP Porcelain type hardneck.  Bright white bulb wrappers enclose red-tinged cloves, ranging from 5-7 per bulb.  SOU

Inchelium Red:  Heirloom OP.  From Colville Indian Reservation, Inchelium, WA.  15 cloves per bulb.  Bulbs in excess of 3" in diameter. Stores 6-9 months.  SOU TER

Italian Softneck:  Heirloom.  Artichoke type.  Produces large flavorful bulbs that store up to 10 months.  SOU

Kettle River Giant:  Heirloom.  True giant among softneck garlics.  Produces large, flat-shaped, white skinned heads, often reaching 4" in diameter.  typically 8-15 huge, white cloves arranged in 2 layers within each bulb.  Medium-hot, artichoke-type.  ABU

Loiacono:  Heirloom.  Artichoke type.  Produces large, easy-to-peel cloves.  Good storage.  SOU

Lorz Italian:  Heirloom mid-season.  Softneck.  Robust, large cloves are hot and spicy.  Purplish tint on skins.  TER

Mild French Silverskin: 
OP.  Silverskin type.  Does well in hot dry areas.  Silverskin bulbs are easy to clean and popular for braiding.  14 cloves per bulb.  Excellent keeper.  SOU


Music:  OP.  Extremely large clove, about 4-6 per bulb.  Hardneck variety has a nice rich, pungent flavor. ABU SOU

Oregon Blue:  Heirloom mid-season.  Softneck. Nice hot flavor, dark green leaves and a purple cast on skin. ABU TER

Persian Star: 
OP. Very hardy hardneck variety.  White, medium-sized bulbs with 6-9 cloves per bulb.  SOU

Polish Softneck:  Heirloom mid-season.  Softneck.  Good choice for northern gardeners.  Good braider. ABU TER

Red Toch: 
OP.  Artichoke type.  Originates from Republic of Georgia, near Tochliavri.  Large bulbs with colored cloves streaked in shades of pink and red.  SOU

Silver Rose:  OP Silverskin type.  rose-colored cloves with smooth white wrapper skins.  Keeps up to a year in ideal storage conditions.  Good braider. BURP HEN SOU

Silverwhite Silverskin:  OP Silverskin type.  This is the garlic most seen in grocery stores.  Good for braiding, stores up to 12 months.  SOU

Spanish Roja:  Heirloom mid-season.  Hardneck.  Has true garlic flavor. ABU TER

Dwarf Blue Scotch:  OP Heirloom 55 days.  Hardy 15" plant spreads 2', producing blue-green, finely curled leaves.  Light frost improves flavor.  NIC

Fizz:  OP 40 days.  Finely lobed leaves in golden green, maturing quickly to deep emerald.  Young leaves are tender and delicious as baby greens.  Erect plant habit.  TER

Giant Walking Stick:  OP Heirloom 180+ days.  Grows 5-7'.  A head grows at the top.  This variety produces an attractive wood that can be turned into a walking stick.  Not recommending for small space gardens.  NIC

Hanover Salad (Spring):  OP 30 days.  Siberian variety with large smooth leaves.  Harvest leaves when small and tender.  SOU

Improved Dwarf Siberian:  OP 50 days.  Frilly dark-green leaves form a cold-tolerant, 24" rosette at maturity.  TER

Lacinato (Dinosaur, Tuscan):  OP Heirloom 50-60 days.  Italian variety  with 3" dark blue-green heavily savoyed leaves that are 10-18" long.  Mild and tender.  Hardy. ABU  BOU NIC SOU

Nero Di Toscana (Black Palm): 
OP 50 days.  Frilly dark-green leaves are 10" long, 2-4" wide and resemble a palm tree.  Winter hardy.  TER

Pentland Brig:  OP 68 days.  High yields of curled leaves.  BOU

Premier: 
OP 60 days.  Smooth-leaved variety with deep-green foliage and scalloped edges.  When over-wintered, the plants remain compact while developing new growing points on the main stems.  SOU

Savory Cross:

American Flag (Broad London):  OP Stems average 1-1 1/2" x 8-10".  Well-blanched from base upward.  Has delicate onion flavor.  GUR SOU VER

Giant Musselburgh:  OP Heirloom 105 days.  Winter hardy leek.  Produces thick white 12-18" long, 2-3" diameter stalks.  Mild flavor and smooth tender stalks.  NIC SHU TER

King Richard: 
OP 75 days.  Slender and tall 1" x 12".  Best for summer and early fall harvest.  SOU

Sanguine Ameliore (Strawberry Cabbage): 
Heirloom 45 days.  French heirloom.  8" plants have tongue-shaped leaves that are dusted with deep reddish-brown mottling. ABU

Schweitzer's Mescher Bibb:  Heirloom OP 50 days.  From Austria.  Best grown in cool weather.  Small tight crisp heads of green leaves ringed with red.  SOU

Speckles (Amish Speckled):  OP Heirloom 50 days.  Amish heirloom.  Bright red speckles on an olive-green butterhead leaf.  Blanched yellow-green heart.  SOU TER

Tennis Ball: 
Heirloom 50 days.  Thomas Jefferson grew this variety at Monticello.  7", light greeen heads are great for small space gardens.  ABU

Tom Thumb:  OP Heirloom 34 days.  This little butterhead produces heads about the size of a baseball.  Dark-green outer leaves, creamy yellow interior.  Excellent choice for small space gardens.  NIC SOU TER

Winter Marvel (Merveille D'Hiver): 
OP Heirloom 55 days.  French heirloom.  Large green heads.  For late summer and fall planting.  BOU

Yugoslavian Red: 
Heirloom OP 58 days.  Yugoslavia heirloom. Red-tinged leaves form 10" heads across.  Interior leaves are creamy yellow-green dappled with red. ABU  SOU

Winter Density: 
Heirloom OP 58 days.  A cross between butterhead and romaine.  Compact, dense, upright and 8" tall.  From England.  SOU



LETTUCE (French Crisp, Batavia)

This type of lettuce resemble iceberg-type heads.

Anuenue:  OP 50 days. Name means rainbow in Hawaii.  Resembles  a cripshead lettuce with  bright glossy green leaves.  Heat tolerant and bolt-resistant.  Recommended for all lettuce growing seasons.  SOU

Loma:  OP 48 days.  French crisp variety has glossy, dark green leaves that are thick and firm.  Heat tolerant. ABU TER

Nevada: 
OP 48 days.  All-green Batavia is tall open headed with thick, bright, lime-green leaves.  TER VER

Tennis Ball: 
Heirloom OP 55 days.  Grown by Thomas Jefferson at Monticello.  Black-seeded lettuce produces medium-sized Boston-type heads with light green leaves, yellow-green at the base.  SOU
